FreedomGPT Review
FreedomGPT is an AI chatbot that allows users to ask it any question, regardless of how sensitive or controversial. It prioritizes privacy, so conversations and data never leave the user’s computer. It runs locally on a Windows or macOS computer and leverages Stanford’s Alpaca models.
This means that unlike other chatbots, FreedomGPT can answer questions without censorship or fear of repercussions. It can also respond to a number of different types of prompts, including requests for information about certain subjects (such as political views or sexual orientation), translations between languages, and other tasks. Its makers have revealed plans to make it fully customizable for specific high-stakes and secret procedures.
However, despite being uncensored and free of the constraints that come with many other chatbots, FreedomGPT is not without its drawbacks. Some Reddit users have reported issues with the model quality, while others have pointed out that it may be difficult to use if you have limited internet access.
While the program’s website states that users can download and install any AI model they like, it does not appear to support all models. Depending on the size of the model, it may require a significant amount of storage space and memory to function properly.
For these reasons, FreedomGPT is best suited for users with a computer that can handle it. It is recommended to have a minimum of 8 GB of RAM, and at least 10 GB of free disk space.
